last year everyone stopped using the word fake and replaced it with an odd version of temporary. it gave me permission to invest in plastic. with plastic.
you can water a fake thing but you’ll find it never grows, that it’s never moved by your efforts and is in fact oblivious to the world around them.
it’s a difficult lesson to teach kids when you use someone’s idea of perfection as decor. maybe today is the day to break vases, tear away at silks and place your hands in the dirt to see what moves, what moves you.
